The essence of Steve

"The essence of Steve" - 60 x 80 cm. Latex, acrylic, spray paint on canvas, (unframed/ready to hang) 2026. I see these works as absract portraits. The people that the cross my daily path at any given moment. I think about the people in my life and I document that situation; almost like a shoebox of old photographs...Some boring, some badly lit, some unidentifiable, but always sparking the imagination about who, what, when, where and why.  This piece is inspired by those who toil in the cubicles during the week and hit the golf course on the weekend and let off stream. I was a graphic designer for 25+ as well as an abstract painter and the "Steve" to me is that guy that high fives and pounds Alabama Slammas with his college brahs. No judgements. Just capturing the Steve in the wild, like Sir David Attenborough.
