I still consider my old Sandia Heights home my epicenter in this world. This is a painting of the small patio home from the street. My old art studio might have been my favorite space on Earth. Garage door open, music droning, saws buzzing from cutting up wood for new frames. Stretching canvas in the hot, Albuquerque summer and sweating with 100% joy. Dust, neighbors, lizards, sunsets, wind, cottonwood seeds floating in the air and sticking to a new painting, High desert, Sandia Heights... My favorite place.
